Mellon-Sawyer Dissertation Fellow at Tufts

I am pleased to announce that I will be one of 2019-2020 Mellon-Sawyer Dissertation Fellows at Tufts University to write my dissertation.

Sawyer Seminars, through support from the Mellon Foundation, “provide support for comparative research on the historical and cultural sources of contemporary developments.” The theme for the Sawyer seminar I’ll be participating in is “Defamiliarizing the Family: Genealogy and Kinship as Critical Method.” The Seminar will be taking place at Tufts University, through the direction of historian Kendra Field and anthropologist Sarah Pinto.

I will be based at the Center for the Humanities at Tufts (CHAT), working with an array of people thinking critically about kinship today.
